A development installation is an installation that is not suitable for production use.

We recommend to use the ZIP archive to install Petals ESB Registry in a development mode.

By default, Petals ESB Registry is configured to work as a cluster composed of only one member, on localhost (it cannot be managed from a remote machine through JMX). This configuration is not recommended for a production use where at least two members is required for high availability reasons.

For testing and development purpose:
* 2 GHz\+ CPU or equivalent
* 256MB of RAM for Petals ESB Registry
* 100 Mbits/s network interface
* 50 MB of disk for Petals

h1. Installation

As explained above, by default Petals ESB Registry requires almost no configuration.
